I likethe Moen products as long as you make sure all the things you touch are metal and not plastic. There's a lot of choice of functions and locations for the valves, head(s) and personal sprayer.

What are you calling a shower "system" in this case?

You can mix and match a Grohe control valve with a Delta shower head, for example, as long as you aren't choosing a special finish. Chrome is pretty much the same across vendors.

Once you get into custom finishes, you are going to get it all from one vendor.

The issue of "good pressure" is a function of the shower head and how well it makes 1.8 gpm feel. Some do a good job, some don't.

The days of turning on a shower and having it blast you with water are gone. California is particularly strict and the maximum shower flow rate is 1.8 gpm. The Hansgrohe showerpipe I installed is discontinued but the following are similar:

I chose this product because except for the rough-in, everything is outside the wall so if anything breaks it can be repaired or replaced without tearing up the wall. It still functions well after eight years.
