I never help clients choose art it is a personal thing. Night tables need to be big enough to hold a lamp and maybe a book and be the height of the top of the mattress usually . Lamp tall enough to let you read in bed . You drapes are too short and not nearly full enough to cover the windows and still have fullness . The drapes should be at least 2.5 x wider than the rod and just kiss the floor. That rug is useless I would suggest to runner type rugs one on each side of the bed instead . I also think get a bit more interesing bedding that looks college dorm to me. Are you male or female? Is that a live tree? If not chuck it .

I'd like a more relaxed open feeling and It looks like you've got the space. I'd move the dresser over to the wall on the left from our view. Then lower the tv without a console. A layout plan might lead to more ideas. Side wall mounted shelves with a drawer would be a choice.

I would play with the grays and beige...

- The curtain pole needs to exceed the window but even on both side far enough that the curtain doesn't block the window when open (yours looks longer on the left side).

- The area rug is too far under the bed, bring it forward towards the dresser, and I suggest you replace the rug you have which look too small. You can get a large area rug or 2 smaller rugs for each side of the bed.

- I suggest you paint the wainscotting the same colour as the wall but in a satin finish (wall in a matte or eggshell finish).

- Replace the curtains

- Add interest to the bed by adding more pillows and a throw

- Add lamps

- Lower your TV above the dresser, it looks much too high
