redesigning entryway

last year

We just repainted this wall and previously had the circle mirror right above the entry table. Thoughts?
I also keep going back and forth wanting to paint the table like a sage ish green or something. Idk! Any ideas welcome!!

Keep either the lamp or vase. Both being the same height doesn't work. I would go for a much larger mirror and larger rug. Also I think I would replace the chest on the left with a chair.

I think the first thing I'd do is put a larger rug in the entry way. As for the decor, you need something a little heftier to go over the console. That mirrror is a little too delicate, IMO. I'd go for artwork or a mirror with some weight to it instead. Some thoughts:

Based on the scale of the area you want a larger mirror and a larger area rug.

I agree and you painted the wall in a white it looks like then put a lamp there thta casts a yellow glow on the whole space WHY?? I Also agree a larger rug and a much larger either piece of art or mirror . Kep in mind what the morror reflects and it better be worth seeing twice.

First thing to change is lamp bulb. Way too yellow for that space. If a new bulb doesn’t give the room a true color then the shade is wrong so replace the entire lamp with something that goes with the new mirror. Larger rug definitely.

Your front door seems dated. Will suggest your replace it with a more updated style. Will also suggest that you change the color to match the trim.. If you don't need the blinds for privacy or sun control would suggest removing them. Your rug seems too small. Would suggest you replace with a larger one. Would certainly suggest you declutter. Am not a fan of the table you currently have. Am thinking a console table would work better.

    Yall are awesome!!!

Changing the lightbulb asap-lol! I don’t know why it looks so yellow in the picture, gross! Yeah ignore the clutter isn’t usually there, we just finished painting and trying to get things back in their place 🤪

Should I get rid of the small table on the left?

I have these other large mirrors-thoughts?
And then Possibly with painting the table? Or just get rid of the table and get something else? lol ignore the light bulb it’s gonna go 🤣

And obviously it would be hung up

Here’s with the other mirror (also would be mounted on the wall)

Ive also added some console table ideas-let me know your thoughts 😄

Here are the other console tables-I would rather not purchase a new one and paint my current one but is it just too outdated?

I do love black!! I like the size of the art also and how you matched it up to the line of the 2nd floor-makes sense now!

The miniblinds really must go. They have no place anywhere, ever. It’s a lovely foyer, you can find better window coverings if you really need them.

Ugh I know the blinds are lame but we really need them for privacy and sun-they are the faux wood blinds. I’m open to any other ideas. I could take them down on the big window but the sun glares in in the middle of the day

What about a table like this? I like the one you added also-trying not to have to spend much money though. Should I paint what I have black and see if how that looks?

I rarely comment on design issues, but I can't stand the crammed-in-the-corner look, no matter where I see it. Pull the buffet away from the end wall a tad and maybe switch the position of the lamp please.

There is some ornamentation in your staircase and the front door which should be highlighted IMO.

You keep showing me Farmhouse style stuff.

You could likely get something off of Craigslist or Goodwill. paint it with black chalk paint and have it be better than the red cabinet which looks too wide for the space

    Good afternoon Je Peny

In regard to the farmhouse style table replacing it or painting it would bring together the modern look of your foyer. As to the chandelier mentioned, here are a few ideas for foyer chandeliers that would tie your space up really well:

Those are really cool! Right now we have recessed lighting and I’m not sure if there was ever a chandelier here?
