What about putting your TV opposite the fireplace, on the wall where your sofa is in the picture? Rotate your seating arrangement so your floats in the room, running parallel with the windows, and two chairs opposite. This will work best if you can life with a smaller sofa, to leave at least 3' on the walkway side of the room, and at least 18" between the sofa and the fireplace wall.

If you can give a picture with all dimensions marked, you will get more helpful advice. Length of all walls, windows, doorways. What are those small gray rectangles on the left side? Important to know if those are fixed items that have to be worked around.

On the long side where the couch is are case openings. One gies into kitchen and one into foyer.

I have a similar living room--long and narrow, foyer and kitchen entrances opposite sides of the interior long wall. Major difference is that our fireplace is on that interior wall, between the two doorways. Our solution was to remove the fireplace as a focal point, and make it more of a room divider. Sitting area at the foyer side of the room, dining area at the back kitchen-entrance side.

For your space, I would suggest something similar. What about a sectional at the front side of the room, filling the corner opposite the foyer. Then a swivel chair opposite than can turn towards the TV or the fireplace, and an ample coffee table to anchor the arrangement. This seating is focused on the TV wall (the wall between your two doorways), but isn't blocking the fireplace. Nice cozy recliner or big chair in the upper corner, like you already have pictured, and maybe a desk or secretary, depending on window dimensions (I can't read that number).

Another option, presented because in general I don't like sectionals for a space that might be used for entertaining guests. The diagonal sofa wastes space, but you arguably have excess length in this room. The chairs would have to be pretty petite to make this arrangement work, to avoid crowding the foyer doorway. You could put bookcases on each side of the fireplace in this arrangement, for more of a symmetrical built-in look. You would put art and decor objects on the case behind the sofa, not books that people would want to access.

Oh I like both of those ideas ive akways wanted a sectional but disnt know hiw to make that work Could be a good possibility. Thank you so much for taking time to do this !!

Your current TV placement is really smart. Beverly's layout is great and not too different from your current one. You just need a rug to pull it all together and some new furniture with arm chairs that are less bulky. Your secretary is fantastic.
