bay window treatment

We’re so close to the end of the project. Today, the plantation shutters were to be installed. The shutters company measured after the window was installed. The installation person explained that they wont work due to the crank from the casement window.
Has anyone run into this and can recommend a fix?

I haven’t encountered this situation before and am not an expert in shutter installation. However, my suggestion would be to reach out to the shutter company first to clarify the issue with the crank. Ideally, this should have been considered and discussed prior to placing the order.

The owner of the shutter company measured the window with crank and all. Since writing my original post, she requested to meet tomorrow with the installer and us as they think they came up with a solution. Here’s hoping🤞

Years ago a 'key' was available to replace cranks for just this situation.

You can replace the cranks with smaller, butterfly style ones if that helps. I did it myself
