Adorable photos as always ... but the kids are growing up so fast! You're going to need a bigger roasting pan!

LOL at least Molly will still fit in the pan :) She's looking at my like 'mom, I'm going to be 18 soon and we're still doing this?!?"

Molly is almost 18? That pup has a lot of Thanksgivings under her belt. The kiddos are adorable and enjoying the moment. Thanks for sharing.

I had an exhausting Thanksgiving day— early in the am DD called and was feeling terrible, went to urgent care and was diagnosed with strep— her second case in 30 days. They all had strep the very beginning of November, they all had Covid in the middle of the month and are now ending the month with another bout of strep. Of course they could not come, we did not want to be exposed (especially mother) and if DD has it at least one of the kids does too ☹️ So I cooked all the food and packed it in bakeware, made the rolls and sent a trunkload of food to them via DH while I stayed home cooking for the rest of us. We were only five for dinner but we had a great time nonetheless, and played cards afterward. The saying ”man proposes, God disposes” comes to mind.… We facetimed with the kids and I received a lovely text from our SIL thanking us for the dinner and telling is how thankful he is that we are his in-laws. Of course that made the day for me!

beagles, your little imps’ shenanigans are always a holiday treat! They are adorable.

kswl, your DD and family have had a tough month. I’m sure a delivered, homemade Thanksgiving will prove to be a cure.

My brother texted in the afternoon he was not well and staying in, fortunately we had a backup for what he was to bring. The brother who suggested salad, to which I replied why don’t you bring that, didn’t. And the one bringing wine and beer, he arrived as we we were about to sit down. Honestly, I should give up. I know none of our invitees will ever reciprocate by hosting a holiday, which is why I encourage bringing something to us. but then it doesn’t arrive. My own sons, bless them, came through with flying colors!

Nonetheless, today I was pooped. I think the dishwasher should be back in sync with our life by end of day tomorrow. And it should warm up to 29° so we can get the lights up outside.

Oh Kswl I hope your family feels better soon. Kids are such little germ carriers. When Bastian first started preschool I think the whole family was sick for months! Glad you had fun anyway!

bpath at least the drinks arrived in time :)

OllieJane I love Love Actually and thankfully my husband does too :)

We love Love, Actually, both of us! and we are enjoying being ”Statler and Waldorf” as we watch ”Christmas prince” movies. You know, the Hallmark-types, sometimes the prince or princess is a carpenter or a baker, but the story is always the same.

I LOVE "Love, Actually" too-I watch it every Christmas! I do fast forward through the "naked couple" (to put it mildly), which I find is irrelevant and adds nothing to the movie, IMO. Ugh!

DH is more in line with National Lampoon's Christmas-type movies or Die Hard etc. Although, he never watches ANY movie every year like I do at times.

Not Christmas shows...but we both like Yellowstone and Ozark type shows. So, not all hope is lost on us watching television together.
