NO back plate and this choice is made like jewellery what is the style of the space ? I never like cup style they are weird to use usually. A nice bar type simple no back plate and if you have a proper overhang on the counters I have never hooked my pockets on my bar pulls . Waht exactly are you showing you had your cabinets painted but I see a center hole in the pic so why was that not filled when you painted . I also so the bar pulls attached to the other cabinets so do the same for the drawers IMO

Thank you! I painted my island and just didn’t fill center hole. I could go back and fill them if that’s best. Kitchen is traditional.
