I just moved into a new home that’s was already built but new, and they left the drapes, which i thought was great until i realized they really aren’t my style.

My dilemma is the floor which now i know (i dont like the colors) is staying.

So what kind of rug do I get? Also i was thinking of a gas fireplace on the wall w tv.. .so should i go all the way up with a tall chimney look or just go up to a mantel?

i am keeping the sofa and love seat for now until i can get a sectional. I like a very light feeling but am also keeping the curtains. Which are white and black . So i was considering a light color rug to get rid of the business of the floor, what’s your thoughts.

Also do i hang something on the wall with the windows?
Dining oval table ha not come in yet , it is white oval that expands with black chairs, also black barstools. So i already have a black and white thing going on which im sad thinking i made a mistake.

Should i accent with blue or keep just blk and white and wood(tan) color.

Any help on this whole project is appreciated.
