Have you gotten estimates for reupholstery? It would probably be more cost effective and attractive to buy a less bulky new sofa.

I have never heard of reupholstering recliners. Reupholstering is expensive and worthwhile for furniture that will last an additional 20+ years. That is not usually the longevity of recliners.
