I have tried Google search without success. Companies that do offer the trees do not get a good review. Yje trees do not seem to be locally offered.

I'm in costal Delaware, the Dwarf Chinkapin Oak Tree is native to the state. My current growing zone is 8 (twice changed since I moved here 7.5 years ago, we used to be 7 then 7b, now 8). I have extremely harsh full sun, bundant water due to a well and sandy soil. The trees will go in a very large area that I am landscaping to look like a small park, part of the 3/4 acre property.

I find strange that the tree is do difficult to find locally given it is native to the state.

Try a local botanical garden or your local Master Gardeners. They both have plant sales here or should know a source. Also, go by an independent nursery (not big box) and talk to the owner about gettting one.

Go Native Tree Farm in Lancaster, PA might have them. I ordered a few hickories from them 8 or 9 years ago and was satisfied with the plants I received.
