Is that a door behind chairs on window side? If yes, is there enough space behind them to fully open the door? Do you have any end / side tables to place between chairs? A coffee table? Lamps? The wall behind sofa seems the natural place for a large piece of art but I’d figure out the rest of the arrangement first. A console behind the sofa seems right as suggested by Lyn Nielson if sofa stays put since that current space behind sofa seems not purposeful - not enough for path to door or through room.

BevFLA is spot on. Putting a sofa table against the wall with sofa against it is a cleaning nightmare even if you have cleaning help. Start by removing anything from the room that is not necessary while you decide large furniture placement and consider wall decor. Wall sconces might be considered as part of completing large wall decor.

There are a couple of issue I see with traffic patterns. I will assume you guys will mostly enter through the garage or side entrance. But guests will not, so I think you need to address where is the drop zone? Do you really need all of these chairs in the space? since the tv is already mounted you will have to work with that, however I would not be blocking the direct walking path which is through the room.

@RL Relocation, No one enters front door, we love in the country. Guest come through the back door. The TV can only go on that long wall or the other long wall. I do though actually have a lot of space where people can walk through the living room. I am thinking a round coffee table in the center. I have been looking at a lot of online designers and they have been doing it that way. I need a rug, coffee table, then pictures. I will add lights to the walls on each side of the picture.

Wow @Mae Day, nice! Your program is awesome. I wish I could do this but my couch is 98 inches long and I thought about a table behind couch but it would be hard to clean back there all the time. Another person said just put it a hands away from the wall and I did that and it looks great. I think I have to keep the chairs in the position I have them for functionality due to spacing issues. But I can push them further apart. Definitely buying a rug and coffee table with huge picture. I like the lamps and tables you put in there. Since my windows are decorative I can’t do curtain but I could do bamboo blinds. Thanks for your advice it was and is much appreciated!!

Hello Kait, Yes I saw the two suggestions regarding the couch table and the hands width distance from the wall. So I put both together in the rendition. The couch table is a hands width away from the wall. :-D . We put sliders (soft pads attached to the legs of the furniture so we can move them around easily to clean under and behind them. We live in a country setting also and the dust flies. It seems as if the dust, dust bunnies, and magical things manage to procreate and hide under everything. Lol.

Yes indeed a 96 inch couch prevents you from putting the recliners on either side of it. Unless you traded it in for a smaller couch that would accommodate the two recliners. Too bad because that would have been a great place for the recliners and more direct viewing of the TV, comfortable too.

Shades on the windows would look good too.
