This depends if you have ANY adjacent wall that will interfere

Even a 24 inch wide mirror on a 37 inch vanity leaves a TOTAL of 13 inches or 6.5 each side......and squished

So that is a question you must answer. Where is the vanity going??

On WHAT wall? Containing walls as below? Or NOT?

If no side walls at all? 30 inches is fine....and your sconces will be beyond the vanity itself. Like the SECOND picture

Many people get mirrors that are too small, so don't be afraid to go larger. You want all the components to look balanced. Draw it out to scale and/or mock it up on the walls with blue tape.

Vanity is 36” wide. One mirror size is 30“, only allowing 3” on each side for the sconces (shade is just over 5”) so they will will extend past vanity… be sure to take into account the wall accommodating (ie: is vanity in a corner).

Other size is 24”, giving 6” which might be the better choice.

Suggest installing the vanity and tape out both mirror sizes and your sconses. Consider a light over mirror, if it feels cramped or not balanced.

Thank you everyone for commenting. Also there are no walls near the vanity.

What I have done, and always recommend, is to cut out newspaper in various sizes and shapes of potentisl mirrors, tape them up (using painters tape, so you do note damage your wall), and see what size and shape looks best!

I'm not a fan of the sconces. Too squat in appearance.

Beverly I actually really love that 🥰 I understand scones isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. The bathroom is a smaller bathroom so the scones just work best with my needs. Thank you for putting that visual I saved it to my phone ❤️

Which size mirror should I get for this vanity?

Go as wide as the vanity. Larger is more functional. You can always mount the sconces through the glass.

This is the vanity, I forgot to add it above.

I can't work up any love for that vanity:

    - Do you have space for more than a 36" vanity? I lived with that size for 9 years, and I hated every minute of it. Zero counter space.

    - It has no drawer storage, which is EVERYTHING in a vanity.

    - I do like the open shelf for towel storage.

Draw it out to scale and/or mock it up on the walls with blue tape.

    Very good advice.
