Nobody can answer your foyer questions. At the very least, you need to draw the space, nooks, front entry etc and include dimensions for the whole area and, what rooms are left.right.

What does or will the living or dining furniture look like. What was the style/flavor in your home prior to the disaster?

As to the bath? You aren't finished. You have no mirror on the vanity.....whose length we don't even know. We're seeing a partial picture.

You're exhausted, probably have design fatigue and the REAL goal is to slow down , recover energy and resources.

What you don't do is rush and try to restore every nook and cranny to perfection, on exhausted resources.: )

Pictures of before the disaster? That would be helpful as well. Inspo pics of finished spaces of whatever flavor you love? That too

^ agree, what functional things do you need for the foyer.. storage, a place to leave shoes etc..? I would probably keep things light & bright and avoid black in this space but that’s just personal preference

IMO the pic you show is too much of everything in foyer but we have no ideaas to space size , you are IMO in too much of a hurry . Help here comes with either pics of the old space or at least some idea books. A toscale floor plan of the spaces you are asking about all of that posted here in comments DO NOT start another post or we will lose the thread . I think foyer decor is not an essential at this moment . The bathroom to me is a bit confused the shower classic the cabinet very contemporary and that toilet just wrong .I have no idea about a nook.

Seeing your pictures, I can understand how you just want to get some decor back into the home. Shame on your insurance company !

With any pieces going into a foyer, make sure they are doing the work you need them for - ie how many people pile through the door at the same time /( this will help with sizing so it's not in the way ); Are you taking off shoes at this entry ( need something to hide them )?; Is there a coat closet or do you need some hooks or a coat rack ( again goes to how much space to use for furniture piece ) ; Do you need a sit down spot/ space to put down a bag / a mirror/ a nice plant?

I like the idea of a cabinet in the niche area - not sure about the tall piece? Do you have some nice stuff to display in there? Or would that space be better for a console with some great family photos above?

The bathroom - find a fabulous mirror and lights. Maybe do a floating shelf over the toilet. You have a nice deep window sill that is asking for a plant! I love the vanity. Try to find a nice floor mat in black and off white like the walls to help warm the space.

If you are looking for inexpensive ways to go about it, I would go to flea markets and consignment shops . You might find some great pieces that just need a little love and then you can personalize them for your space. My other favorite thing to warm up a space - Plants in a beautiful pot - tall ones, smaller ones on tables. Take some great family photos or landscapes and go to online places that print on a canvas - Inexpensive and easy to hang.

Take some time - you have overcome so much. Give yourself some grace and be proud of what you have accomplished. It is easy to grow tired and just want it over but there is nothing wrong with taking a break from it all!

Thanks for the replies, and I will answer questions in a different post. For starters, let me say I have very few pictures of our bottom floor, which others call a basement, but not in the South, and it is completely built on the ground, not under it. This foyer entrance comes from the garage, where most family and friends enter. I'm attaching a few pics, one with the measurements that I used when I had to order materials. When the EBS went off that morning, we had less than 30 minutes before the water started coming into the house. We were able to raise some furniture up with 5-gallon buckets and patio tables. We took what was salvageable and put it in storage and have not been back to actually see what is in there. The first week is a blur, and I know that our damage is nothing compared to WNC or CA. The DNR boat was rescuing my neighbors driving through our yard. I cannot find a picture of the foyer before the flood.

I'm sorry about misspeaking regarding another post. I should have said that I would write another comment. We do have a coat closet that holds our shoes. The toilet was installed when we built 12 years ago and definitely can't be moved. For me, painting is therapeutic, and while painting, I try to visualize what may look good, and from many past projects, Houzz has steered me in the right direction. God knows my thoughts are not decorator-savvy. Here is an update, and I'd really like your input on possibly putting a chunky table or a console table where the blue wall is as you go up the stairs. I decided to paint the doors and love it!
