You need pictures of the entire space. Not just this wall.......which sorry to say, does not look attractive, nor does the black beam paint trim. The white shelves do not look good., The stark white trim on the fire stone does not.

Please go stand back , add more pictures. From what I can see........you do not need a built in anything.

A drawing of the room in feet and inches, all of it, fire, windows passages etc is very helpful. I realize, not what you asked, I am telling you what I see: )

Understand that you want to get rid of the tv stand. I agree with you on that point. The thing is so big that it competes with the fireplace. Can the tv be moved elsewhere altogether?

Just very quickly, will post more later if day permits! In these floorplans, larger pieces meant to angle in the corner, which does mean (a little lol!) rearranging, but worth it — makes the beautiful fireplace the focal point!

Any built-ins would be the same height as the opening on the other side of the fireplace. I assume that doorway is squared off and not angled to the ceiling.

I suppose if it is at an angle, I suppose the built-ins could be angled to match?

First, take a STRAIGHT ON PHOTO OF THE WALL!!

That wall is a visual mess. Lots of things need to be corrected to make this wall look good.

You have a gas fireplace. Remove the applied stone. Were it a true chimney, the stone would go to the ceiling. Mantel gone. It is, again, just an applied item which does not belong.

Gone, too, are the disparate wall decorations.

Now paint the entire room one color and put the t v over the gas firebox.

Your home could do well with just one color for walls, ceilings, and trim. Take advantage of the A frame style, but bring the look up to date.

I don't think you have the space, but here is an example of a floor to ceiling built-in with sloped ceilings.

Here is a concept sketch, I did not measure so play around with exact placement but the TV (aqua line) is on the adjacent short wall. A swivel chair faces the TV or the fireplace.

Photos are not loading for me today so I can’t see your space; can the tv be mounted on the wall? There are conduits you can attach to the wall that hide the cords, and you can paint them the same color as the wall.

As commented above, having the stone installed flat against the wall above the mantle just emphasizes that it's not a true fireplace. I think the five photos posted by @BeverlyFLADeziner several comments above (plus, the first one post by @elcieg) all look nice - but note that none of the fireplaces are flat against the wall.
