Issue with Aria Quartzite

We are doing a kitchen reno, and selected a beautiful slab of polished Aria Quartzite. Upon install, we did not see any issues; however, approx. a month later (reno still in progress), we discovered these small, teal/blue discolorations in the stone. There are probably 5-6 spots like this (blue tape used to mark spots for our contractor).

We have not used any kind of cleaner or anything on the counters, and our contractor and fabricator seem to be at a loss. Any ideas? This was a huge investment and we are devastated.

Copper, iron, manganese, and other metallic inclusions in the stone are normal and natural and can not be prevented from behaving naturally. That is Nature's beauty mark, that shows that it is real.

Iron inclusions in the stone reacting to water maybe, not truly rusting but very similar.

Dab a little oven cleaner on a spot in an inconspicuous area please. These green/blue marks are sometimes created when fabricators use accellerator on super glue.

@Minardi - do you think this is something that will continue to evolve over time? Like will we see more of it? the major concern I have is that we didn't see this a month ago when the stone was installed, and we looked at it very thoroughly.

Note that the blue is only showing on cracks. Apparently they tried to fill the cracks with superglue, catalyzed it, and it turned blue when they did. Not uncommon.

@Joseph Corlett, LLC - would the oven cleaner hack have to be done on unsealed stone? the stone has been sealed twice, according to the fabricator.

Oven clean and copper is not pretty. Be very careful.

Oven cleaner isn't going to have any problem with sealer.

Photos look like oxidized copper so I would try a bit of Bar Keeper's Friend to see if it will remove the blue. If that doesn't remove it, then I'd have to go with Joe's theory. If it turns out to be copper, then I would be thrilled because those bits of blue green are gorgeous & I would want more of them.
