The photo may be off, but it looks like chandelier is not in the center of the ceiling ; the rug not centered in the room. The rug may or not be the correct size. Would you take another photo with the table turned vertically to the incognito art.

Chairs are very nice, but move them to the living room.

Table looks painted vintage, or replica, and would do well with chairs of the same period style.

The head chairs are way out of proportion to the table and IMO now too formal always .Center the table under the chandelier and the table looks small what are the dimnesions ? So nice wood chairs with an upholstered seat nad it looks like maybe 4 -6 . I would remove the rug you do not have space the rug to be 3' past the table I know lots of people like family photos in more puplic spaces but I do not so some art on that wall maybe even 2 lamps and a large vase of flowers nothing on the table but maybe a glass bowl . The table is very country the space very formal is that the style you want?

The head chairs that you have now appear to overwhelm the table you have with it. I’d center everything up rug and table tonight fixture as others have suggested, and then add a more contemporary chair with it. A smaller rounded upholstered chair is the direction I’d go. Colors may depend on your artwork but I’d try a blue, sage green or mellow orange for the color of them. Something like what I’ve pictured.

Yes, things need to be centered, etc. really focused on chair suggestions with that table.

I think a Windsor style chair would work very well with your table.

Or a ladder-back or a French country chair.

Thanks! Was hoping for something with a touch more modern flair. Most of the home is a modern farmhouse style

Room has a bit of an identity crisis, the modern chandelier doesn’t complement the traditional table (somewhat farmhouse being grey) and the traditional molding. The pictures feel off as well. If rest of home is modern farmhouse, be sure you don’t go too far towards a ”modern flair”. I think it‘s important to first define the overall look and consider how to get there.

Perhaps stripping/staining the table will open up more choices, add contemporary art, and perhaps only use one color on walls…. then start your chair search. Ideas below and think your chandelier would be fine.

I wouldn't spend a penny trying to find chairs to go with that farmhouse kitchen table.

Select a new table and chairs for the room or buy something used.

Bev's correct--if you want modern-ish anything, the table is far from it, and most modern or even transitional chairs won't look right with the table. If you search any tables in vogue these days, they have much straighter lines that work with different styles.

If you want/need to keep the table, you could paint it matte black - I think it will give you more chair options given the chair style you want

A round table seems like it would be a better fit..remove rug it is too small..what is the size of the Dining room?..are you wanting a modern style like your chandelier?
