When the tops are installed, you get samples and pick a backsplash. It can not be installed until then, anyway! You could take months to choose a splash and it would not affect the use of the kitchen while you wait!

I assume your appliances are stainless, count that as ONE finish. I am not for black hardware on white cabinets, if you like it, know it can look jumpy. Order samples, and Satin nickel is nice as well. .

The floor wood look tile looks very gray, is tha6t NOT the new flooring and what is the flooring outside the kitchen and areas connecting to the kitchen? What's the feel you want in the kitchen? Do you have an inspo picture?

Don't put a buggy ahead of the horse, take more pictures of the whole, and you don't have to rush either decision.

What is the rest of the flooring in the adjacent rooms? Is this an open concept kitchen? If so, you can continue the flooring throughout. Not gray.

I am totally prejudiced towards dark wood flooring in kitchens. We live on a horse farm (not quite ranching like yours) and the entryway mudroom and adjacent laundry room are tiled, which is where most of the dirt lands. The rest of the house, including the kitchen, is engineered wood. It has not gotten scratched or ruined after 10 years, but we make sure to remove muddy/dirty boots in the mud room.

I do not like the counter choice it is very dramatic and IMO will not be great if it needs to make corners Hardware chosen down the road as is wall color . Working a ranch is hard work so make your life simple by using LVP for flooring it vacuums up quickly and a quick mop is all you need . We have 3 huge dogs (no ranch) but they have a free run dog run access through a doggie door made custom . So mudy feet, snowy ones all kinds of mess all cleans up easiliy. Can you maybe go look at bullet proof grnite in a mix of colors to work with the rest . Sorry I just realized you have wood look tile so that is easy to care for just a bit hard on feet, knees and backs so good indoor shoes I agree no black on white it is too stark but lots of silver toned hardware available. You do know quartz really not good behind coolking appliances and if you go granite you can use it everywhere and even for the backspalsh

I agree with Patricia about the bold veining in the countertop-I hope you have a template for how that corner we see in the photos will be handled so that the veining is as well-matched as possible. Your counter is your focus surface, so once it's been installed along with your lighting, get samples of plain, solid color tiles for your backsplash and I'd for sure do a no-contrast grout to match the tile choice.

Also agree with others if there's an adjacent floor to continue that through the kitchen space. A classic mid-tone brown wood floor would be far better than a gray wood-look floor. Gray flooring is over.

If you are keeping the current tile floor, then rethink the counter choice for a couple of reasons. First, I don't think it looks nice with the floor. Second, that particular counter with the large fake looking veins screams fake. Third, having quartz behind your range can be problematic with scorching of the quartz a possibility. Fourth, there are so many other counter choices that you could choose from that would compliment your space so much more. Finally, whatever you choose, consider using your counter choice as your backsplash as well.

If you are changing the flooring, you will need to consider the flooring in the surrounding spaces since it is desirable to have consistent flooring in spaces that are next to each other.

Be sure to look on line for inspiration, as it’s one thing to choose/envision, but another to actually see combinations and an overall effect.Flooring is the biggest decision that will drive other choices. You mentioned dark…will it relate to adjacent rooms, will it be harder to maintain, does kitchen get enough light to offset, will it feel stark.

Next is backsplash and bring home lots of samples. When narrowed down to a few, buy a box of each (that can be returned), so you get a better sense (color/shape/texture/horizontal or vertical). Decide on hardware, lighting and wall color last but reference pictures for help with hardware metal/size/shape combos lighting styles and faucet design.

I'm jumping on the bandwagon, but I also dislike the counter top. That strong veining is "in vogue" right now, and such a strong veining will mark your kitchen as "mid 2020s trendy".

Ok here is where we are at! Great advice, as changed countertop to more refined. Now we need a floor and tile. Thinking what tile would not have white grout or does grout clean of stains easily?

The flooring will adjoin some new carpet we installed. It is a beige, gray. The space is tiny that wraps the kitchen to the dinning area to the living groom. You can not see the living room space from the kitchen, but it adjoins from the dinning space
