We can only fit 4-5 foot doors on both sides. But we can def go taller.

I did see this online and think large sliders that open to be behind the fireplace would be amazing view . These are windows but if I can recreate the look with sliders, I think I'm leaning towards have this on the back wall vs all glass and fireplace adjacent.

for me, the fireplace is the focal. Unless you have a great hardscape pool area, it generally looks messy through the doors/windows.

4-5 foot doors won't show much, and taller just adds to the budget. And I definitely wouldn't put a TV above the fireplace.

If you are going for dramatic focal, find a large piece of art for above the fireplace.

Our pool area is very nice with a large deck- and we do need line of sight to it because of kiddos- so regardless fireplace or not, it has to get some doors/windows. Also our living room gets no east/west light, and this will allow us to have East light
