ADU Renovation Layout - feedback please

last month

We're renovating an existing 500 SFspace (not new construction), so we must work within the exact footprint—no expanding walls. It’s a 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom layout with a small loft above the bathroom.

Key Details:

*Scissor truss vault (~4' total vault—happy to clarify if needed).
*Windows stay as-is (not moving any interior windows).
*Entrance is on the north side.
*Climate: SW Washington (no major sun issues through windows).
*Heating & Cooling: Single mini-split in the living room above the entrance door.
*Bedroom Access & Light Considerations:
Sliding wall-mounted ladder to the loft (attached to the wall, slides out but doesn't detach).
Two 24" French doors to the bedroom to allow light to flow into the living room.

We’ve been tweaking the layout for days but would love fresh eyes—any recommendations?

Thanks in advance for your input!
