Kitchen remodel!

last year

Everything goes (but the floors) and cannot knock down walls. Cabinets will go to ceiling and microwave above stove. Closing up pass through little window. Need more counter space, thinking…
Move fridge to space where microwave is now and extend counters on the left of sink to wall or
Keep fridge and add upper and lower cabinets where microwave is now. Will need ideas for new counter there that’s not wavy shaped.

Hmm - moving fridge to that corner & adding a counter + cabs where frig is now would be huge work surface & storage gain. Couple questions that I’d need PRO help with if I made that move. 1 - is that corner space deep & wide enough for a frig? 2 - Would a french door style frig work better so that when opened, the shorter doors wouldn’t block the entire entry doorway to kitchen? A drop zone for loading unloading frig is very important - so, can a row of lower cabs & a counter be added from new frig location to corner? That creates another issue - 3 - how to manage a ’dead’ corner in the cabinets for both upper & lower with the new corner cabinets added. Back to the need for a pro - you need a kitchen designer to help get the most function out of a new layout for kitchen. Moving the fridge sounds like a great idea but it raises questions needing to be addressed.

Another thought - instead of adding over range micro why not put it on an over counter shelf? Much more efficient for both micro & hood stove. See that shelf over the sink? A micro shelf would look like that. If you move fridge, the micro can be above the extended counter where the fridge was. It could also be placed in the cabinet next to stove

Once we have all the info, like a floor plan, people will really be able to help.

IMO no floor plan no help tiny kitchen means nothing without a to scale plan. If this is a gut job then for sure get the best ideas here before spending money. My first question is ho w big a fridge do you NEED since IMO all Americans usually have at least one grocery store near them so why they need the huge fridges never make sense , Europenas live in tiny places the fridges are small and are just fine even for families since a quick trip to the store gets waht you need for the day. We lived there for awhile and I shop almost everyday it is awesome . I do run a catering biz so need a big fridge for that but when I top the catering the fridge will go. Do the plan on graph paper show every window , doorway where those lead every measurement clearly maked do not include anything in the plan. Post here in jpeg format in a comment DO NOT start another post .

swap the fridge and range positions. Use a corner sink or close to corner sink position which allows the range to push away from window..then you can wrap the window wall with cabinets and counter/ reduce the depth and butt right into wall where pass thru is being eliminated. Are the louvred doors a pantry??? what lurks there . Evaluate how that space is being used. You need counter in this kitchen.. if the louvre door is storage I'd use the microwave corner for running counter there as opposed to more pantry storage. I dont like the stove where it is....its a walkway......put it over in proximity of current fridge location. Provide sketch / outline of wall dimensions and entry way width on graph paper. What number of people typically..... what type and frequency of cooking? small kitchen is a challenge but can be a delight if done carefully with attention to details

The size of the OP fridge suits her and her family, just like yours suits your business - Jeez.

I have to drag myself to the grocery store - hate it!

The fact is we need info and a to scale floor plan if the OP wants help You hate grocery shopping I don't it has nothing to do with wanting context . Pictures are great but with no to scale floor plan useless
