How should I update kitchen?

I want to refresh my kitchen so it is more modern but I do not have an eye for design. Should I paint cabinets? Replace counters and backsplash? Replace floors? What would help update this room without a complete remodel?

Painting the walls will make a huge difference. You have a lot of wall space. The flat beige is adding nothing.

While you are at it, remove the chalk and white boards and the art above the door. I like the big painting but the wall color does it no favors.

A new fresh color and a fabulous piece of art on the chalkboard wall will be a big refresh.

Look through kitchen pictures for great wall colors. I like green with my similar colored maple cabinets. Maybe pull a green from your big painting to be a better background for the painting.

I like those ideas and will make a difference and my thing always is better lighting so change all the bulbs in all the fixtures to LED 4000K befor choosing wall color . Declutter the counters and nothing attached to the fridg e.

Your cabinets look great and if you want white save you money for kitchen redo. Cull through all your things on counters and cupboards and open up counter space by reorganizing. Just did that myself and it is so liberating (just have to remind husband where things are 😅). Do you have under-cabinet lighting? Agree wall cooler should change and some new chairs, not bright blue.

And the two pictures at ceiling height should be removed as well.

To help declutter @ the sink, I had liquid soap dispensers installed for dish soap & hand soap. everything else is under the sink, in a slide-out

-replace floors

- paint walls

-replace backsplash
