Kitchen blacksplash Dilemma

My counters will be replaced with a light quartz with very subtle tan grey veining. The shelves by window Will be removed and tile will go up to ceiling.
1. Was going to go with Subway tile to compliment countertops.
2 Now thinking since the area is small to tile thinking of smaller squares as Subway tile maybe cut off.Thoughts on this? Suggestions?
My floors are actually whiter then the photo
3. Was considering black counter with green tiles but I know I would tire of it.
I do like any shades of subtle greens 💚 with my cabinets. Will eventually replace my rug with some green/black/grey in it

Your cabinets celebrate flat cut open grain oak. Pretty much the other end of the current wood spectrum.

You could use the counter material as the entire backsplash as an upscale option. It also massively saves on labor costs and future maintenance. No problems behind your range whether radiant or induction.

Your current tiles are cut off and they look fine, so I would think if you went with subway tiles they would too. Also due to their shape, they would make the gap between the upper cabinets and the window look that little bit wider.

Because of all the movement already going on with the flooring and the beautiful cabinets, I would explore more of a solid surface for the countertop whether it's a creamy white or perhaps black. After countertops are installed then you would bring backsplash samples in to consider in the space with your lighting.

Currently you have two backsplashes so don't do that again. I would go for longer subway tiles to expand the aesthetic of the wall space. Lastly consider wall color, and here's where you may be able to bring in a shade of green that best compliments the space.

I am going to question this expense - do you like the layout and venting situation with the range? Are you sure this is a good investment to make into this kitchen? I also agree that the counter you are considering looks off with the floors.
