I have 2 rooms- a play area and a living room. Both viewable from the foyer.

I have decided to have identical rugs in both.

After 3 years of looking I found what I thought was the perfect rug. Ordered a 3x5 to verify color.. loved it! Order a 7.5x9 ft for the play room and 10x14 for the living.

I get the 7x9 rug and open it up and the colors are dramatically different then the smaller one I ordered and I see that the board of the rugs is just stretched so the whole design just looks cheap.

So now I’m wondering if I even have the right size rugs. The mock up shows an 8x10 in the living room but when I had an 8x10 it felt small.

Do I need something like a 12x14?

I’m thinking the 7x9 needs to be a 8x10 but wondering if a more custom size is a better option?

I’m heading to a local rug place in Dallas instead of trying to find something online and my mom suggested me getting carpet turned into a rug.

Can you all help with what the sizes should be?

I’ll add some photos of exciting spaces (living room only thing staying is the big sofa and that will eventually change too).
