Please Help Me Style These

Hello all, please help me decorate my family room. These couches are for my family room. I know these 2 couches plus the bench do not go well together but I have to make them work somehow. My family has white walls and black accents. I bought the brown bench to go in front of the folding door so I don't block my view. Bring your best ideas and let's make it work. New house, fresher palette.........and why

Sell the gray couch you were VERY UN happy with on your other thread, keep the bench, buy two really comfortable swivel chairs, ( a deep mossy green would be nice ) and work around a color scheme that isn't gray anything.

The gray sofa isn't going to last a year, so I would not plan a lot to acknowledge it. You stated it wasn't comfortable, it was cheaply made.....so there is that as well. There was no reason for two entirely different sofas, that's another factor.

Then look for a warm toned rug to pull the rest together. Camel/green/beige/rust etc.

It's nothing expensive to recover a single cushion on a bench......a great pattern in that cushion that ties all together would also be great.

There's a big warming trend....and purchase mistakes almost never deserve more resources thrown at them.

Start with selecting the right rug that will bridge the gap between the gold sofa and the grey loveseat. Make sure the gold color in the rug is not too yellow.

@BeverlyFLADeziner 's last rug really does a great job of pulling together three otherwise disparate pieces of furniture. I really love the long cream sofa. It is stunning. I would make it the focal point. Don't ruin it by adding throws or pillows in greys or browns. Let it stand alone!

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts! I really appreciate all the advice and different perspectives. I completely understand the point about not focusing too much on the gray, but I also wanted to explain why I chose it—my house, like many modern homes, has a white exterior with black windows, so charcoal gray felt like a natural choice to tie everything together. That said, I do have another shade of charcoal gray I could use, but I’m still unsure if it will clash.

Since I'm currently in North Carolina and my house is in South Africa, I’ll have to test things out first before making a final decision. I love all the creative ideas you've suggested, and I’ll definitely incorporate some of them! I’ll also be sharing a photo of my other couch here soon.

When I’m back in South Africa and can actually decorate, I’ll be sure to share updates here as well.

The outside is NOT where you live. !! That is what patio furniture is for. A white and black exterior is a benevolent NEUTRAL.

@JAN MOYER I love the detailed options you've shared. I absolutely love the greens you've shared and already using it in the entryway. I can definitely repeat it. I also have rust/orange chairs that swivel I can use.

I maintain what I said .....ONE of the couches would be best driving the palette. You don't love the grey cheap China Couch . You have another grey couch? Well..........maybe some couch overload, should go to some comfortable chairs and less bulk in a given room. ......

Btw....... this house is entirely white and black on the exterior.....modern . The interior is not black and white to the exclusion of all warmth
