Nyuk, boy did Feb slip by me. A pretty sleepy month compared to most. The only action in our garden today is to fertilize the young fall planted spinach and add fresh compost to the rows. One row wasn't too successful so I'm going to re-seed the spinach in one and see how well it produces compared to the other 3 fall planted rows.
Otherwise, the fruit trees are still 100% dormant thanks to a very cold and sometimes snowy Jan/Feb. This week our temps will top off into the low 60's and that should give a boost to the spinach and start to wake up the fruit trees. If the asst fruit trees can hold off blooming until April that should save them from a late blossom killing freeze.
