In this room, I'd want the pattern on all four walls -- not just an accent. Then go with a solid-colored /not white curtain and floor mat.

Since you don't overly love the floor (and I agree, I probably wouldn't choose it, but neither would I tear it out), a floor mat will make it receed a bit.

I would probably do something like this and some other blue accents . I also think maybe a nice oval mirror with no frame

You can bring a drama background to your bathroom and place art in a style and colour that you like that coordinates with your house decor.

IMO the wallpaper should be darker than the overall tone of the floor.
