Kitchen Cabinet Help

I need to pick materials for my new house but I don't know what to do with the kitchen.

I picked white oak hardwood in the kitchen/living room area (https://mercier-wood-flooring.com/ca/en/hardwood-flooring/white-oak-hush-atmosphere/).

The foyer and bathroom will be tiled (need help picking this too).

I'm struggling to decide on a kitchen cabinet and countertop colour (probably going with quartz unless there are better suggestions). Heavily debating a light taupe colour vs. a darker oak colour. I'm worried that the birch oak colours I like will blend with the floors. Open to suggestions for any cabinetry and countertop combo! Overall, I'd like to keep the kitchen light and airy since my main floor is open concept.

Can you at least change the double doors to singles?

Be forewarned - unless you drive very small cars, this is a 1 car garage. Our last garage was 22x22 and we just barely could fit a Jeep and a minivan (we had to park at an angle to open the driver's doors).

We just put in light oak hardwood floors and wood cabinets. As kariyava said, a contrast works well.

We went with Taj Mahal quartzite (not man-made quartz) for the counters and backsplash, and absolutely love it.

I personally prefer contrast between floors and cabinets, so if I had light wood floors I would go either with a medium/dark wood stain or painted cabinets, not light wood cabinets.

This flooring uses NA oak. 99% of the other engineered oak flooring available today uses a different species without the open grain. European Oak. I'd always get a full box of something this significant to your finished look. Lay it out in your space to lessen the chance of disappointment. A full kitchen plan with lighting should be done. All wide drawer base cabs, single bowl sink, induction range with adequate exhaust hood. Here's some European Oak cabinets. IKEA Vedhamn.

I think first work on the kitchen lyout I see one thing fo sure that I never like and that is a path past the stove to go from fridge to sink. The kitchen is very fr awayf rom where you enter from the garge that will be awkward with loads of groceries I like llight and airy kitchens so have no problem with light floors and light cabinets. Do want wood for cabinets or would you consider painted cabinets? I really dislike quartz so my advice there would be go check out real stone for counters whte granites are great so are quartzites both real and not fake plastic stone .I really have no idea of your style but this comes to mind for a light and airy kitchen

Thank you all for your input!

Sadly, I live in an area where the only customization available to us is textiles. I'm unable to change the layout very much as the builder dictates this.

Overall, I was hoping to keep the space light and I'm leaning towards wood cabinets as a personal preference.
