Put those two pieces of art one above the other on the right side and add one longer/larger piece on the left.

Art can be placed higher and/or lower and not just right in the middle of a wall!

Perhaps a variety grouping of a large, medium & smaller sized woven textured baskets on one side of fireplace with a beautiful chunky throw blanket flowing over in one of them + a live tall plant/tree on other side in a large textured pot

A large floor plant on the right. (If a Christmas tree looks right, so will a large plant.) The framed artwork looks like pictures - maybe of yourselves. I'd get new prints made, reduce the size and hang them one above the other to the left of the fireplace. Part of what is throwing things off is one picture on each side of the fireplace. It creates a strange symmetry that doesn't look right.

Here are a variety of solutions for either side of the fireplace. IMO not considering cabinets is a mistake.

Imagine a large canvas bursting with vivid reds, electric blues, and sunny yellows. These colors can evoke energy and excitement, making a striking impact in a living room or office space. A bright piece can serve as a conversation starter, drawing guests in with its vibrancy.

I had something like that, I found these bench pieces at Target, figured it filled the space until I figured out what I wanted.
