Please help me hang pictures/ decorate.

last year

I have a long hallway with a half-wall, and a step-down living room. We have not done much, and we have lived here for over three years! Ignore the mess, we are cleaning and have new furniture coming. Please help me hang pictures/ decorate. Thank you!

What do you already own that you can hang? Photos, kids art, painting, collections, etc?

What was the plan with that wall color? IMO first you place furniture then hang art . We need a ton more info >What art do you own already / What is your style ? Do you plan to buy art now ? I really dilike "gallery " walls since no gallery hangs art like depicted below unless all pieces related to the same theme . We need info posted here in comments DO NOT start another post but my advice get the furniture in then post pics of the spaces . The wall color seems so yellow is it really that yellow or is it the lighting ?
