In black? That's what everyone will be focused on the BLACK in the room..... I don't think those lanterns deserve the attention they will be drawing. I don't think lighting over an island ought to be a focal point everyone is paying attention to. I think I would go with large single globes to coordinate with the chandy over the table.

I agree with above these will take attention away from the beautiful fixture above your table. I try to coordinate lights that are seen at the same time. In reality I like your space without pendants. Let the chandelier be the star of the space.

Not in black, I’m getting the brass one, but I’m in between two sizes. Not sure if I should get the medium or the large.

Hi ! I agree with the other comments. The chandelier in the dining room is very modern. I wouldn’t recommend a traditional style light over island but do a smaller stainless pendants . I think the stainless lighting over island would look beautiful with the stainless appliances in the kitchen.

I agree with chispa and most of the others: those pendants are too traditional to go with your fun and funky DR chandelier. I also agree that you don’t need anything, but if you insist, go with plain opaque globes, similar to chandelier. Clear glass can give off a harsh light (I speak from experience!). Go with two larger globes rather than three smaller ones. I would also remove one of the counter stools. They look crammed together. How often do you seat four people in a straight line?

I felt immediately it’s the wrong style as they don’t connect in any way with the dining room’s unique chandelier nor the overall feel of the space.

I also find the island pendant you're considering doesn't coordinate with the dining room one which is contemporary and seems to be brass. I would suggest something more like this:

The room is lovely and these lanterns are so very wrong for what you have selected.

While I agree those lanterns are not right for the island, the OP did state she is looking at the brass, not black.

The lanterns lean more traditional and the dining fixture is a bit more modern.
