Pinks are starting to bloom again

Wow, this forum is fairly dead, so I’ll give it a bump.

It seems like my purple AVs have been doing all the blooming through winter, but my pink AVs have finally started up again. First up is Sheer Romance from Lyndon Lyons…. have been growing it for 20 years and these flowers never fail to make me happy.

Thanks, meg_w! I love the edging too. It makes the buds big and fat. :) When I bought it they called it a Geneva edge, but now they just call it frilled or ruffled.

Beautiful blooms! A Geneva edge just means it is white or in this case a greenish colored edge. This term derives from the first white edged violet, Lady Geneva. You don't hear that term much anymore.
