Turntable for microwave drawer

I've read that you are not supposed to really need a turntable with a microwave drawer. However, my very limited experience with my new one suggests, that for some things, an internal turntable would be better. Nordic Ware has one that has some negative reviews and appears to be out of stock at many places, so I am looking for advice here.

All drawer microwaves are manufactured by Sharp and none have turntables built in.

A turntable shouldn’t be necessary with a drawer microwave. You already have the new drawer microwave? Then no way you can add a turntable, anyway…?

Why is a turntable not necessary with a drawer microwave? What is different about drawer vs. other microwave functionality?

Drawer microwaves presumably don't have turntables due to the reliability factor of wires feeding power to the turntable drive motor flexing every time the drawer opens/closes. They presumably have a stirring blade instead that rotates to scatter the microwave energy evenly throughout the cavity.

3katz4me. A turntable is just as desirable in a drawer microwave as it is in a door microwave. Its purpose is to foster even cooking without "hot spots."

However, none of the drawer microwave sellers, Sharp, Fisher & Paykel, or Zline include a turntable and there is no way to add one.
