Hello all you experts! I am embarking on a bit of a makeover in my 50s style farmhouse. Lots of old rustic pieces, some antiques throughout. My laundry room is just off the front entrance. I had to get a new laundry set which kicked off everything. The big white armoire is not staying, the yellow table doesnt have to stay. The litter box needs to stay, as does the little fridge. In the closets I have coats, vacuum, brooms etc.

The old hoosier top I thought could be wall mounted, maybe a couple corbels added with a rod underneath. I’m not married to it, but it does go with the vibe in the rest of the house.

I do need more shelf storage.

My initial thought is to run a butcher block countertop the whole length of that wall above washer/dryer. The litter box, litter and pet food alongside, and behind a gathered curtain.

There might be room for a small sink, which might be nice?

The room is north facing. I will do something a but fun with the walls later, a fresh colour or wallpaper.

The vinyl tile choice is shown in one pic, in front of washer. Grey with a subtle brown veining.

Washer/dryer wall is 104 inches, leaving about 40 on the end where there is nothing underneath it. I thought I might put the little blue fridge on top of the counter at the end, not sure how that would look. Likely wouldnt leave room for sink.

End wall is 115 inches.

Window wall is 154 inches.

There is about 80 inches of floor space between washer/dryer and opposite wall.

I do like some open shelving for plants, decor etc.

I will not be moving and plumbing or pipes.

Excuse the mess. The wallpaper roll is not for this project.
