I also agree. Just be sure you choose a cream color/warm white that doesn’t look dingy/dirty with the white trim and white shutters. It’s been mentioned here (by Lori Sawaya) there should be a chroma difference of .20 or higher to avoid that issue. Maybe come back here once you have some warm white possibilities for feedback.

I painted plantation shutters with enamel and a brush. Kind of a pain and I had two whole walls of them, so yours would be a breeze.

I think white shutters in a color wash space would look odd- not really a color wash. So I would paint the shutters to match the walls.

Agree it wouldn’t be too bad if those are your only shutters. We have them throughout the whole house. When we had the interior painted a couple years ago, the painters matched the new wall color to the shutters (soft white).

I think if the shutters are white then paint the rest the same as the shutters IMO make it easy re move the shutters I dislike plantation shutters sorry.

If it's not all one shade of one color it's no longer color drenching, it's just using closely-correlated colors. That's fine, it would still look good, but it would not be a color drenched room and would not be the same effect.

Really if you are using another shade of white, if you painted those shutters to match in that room, it's doubtful you would be able to see a difference on the outside between those shutters and other white shutters in other windows.
