You need color, texture, art, and above all warmth. You are not allowed to buy anything black, white or grey. You have those covered. You need a new chandelier hung lower (and praise be not black). A couple nice prints on the blank wall (landscapes?). Curtains.

Just brining some colour into your space, showing in blue but can be done in any colour that will coordinate with your decor we cannot see in the adjoining space. The bottom of the chandelier should be approximately 32-33 inches above the table surface.

I think that the suggested light blue is too pale. My vote would be for red, bright teal, or even lime green. What color do you wear? What color that you wear cheers you up? Use that to dispel the gloom that I see.

I would not go looking for something just to fill the space.

I would let something come along, that you love, can’t stop thinking about, will put there even if it’s the “wrong“ color or size, smile every day to see.

That is how places look authentic and “organic”, rather than like a staged Pottery Barn cliche.

In the meantime, enjoy the dreams and uncluttered possibilities of a clean wall!

Most likely no one on this forum will be in favor of a mirror. Who wants to watch themselves eat?

I really do like the 3 print idea and lowering the chandelier.
I agree on the Pottery Barn cliche also.

Do you have a storage or display need? A buffet or the like could be good. Or you could hang out a bunch of your kitchen and dining related items on the wall. I don't feel the need to watch myself just because a mirror is near, so I don't think a mirror would be bad. Mirrors have often been traditionally used in dining areas/rooms. What else would those mirrors be reflecting? If you have a nice view of windows, or like the enhanced light of your chandelier reflected, consider it. If it's reflecting another room and you feel that's boring, skip it.

Besides the other good advice you've already gotten, I notice two things: your rug is too small. It should be large enough that when the chairs are pulled out, all legs are still on the rug. If you get a new one, you could bring in some color that way. Also, please use all the same light bulbs in your chandelier. Those look like possibly two warm ones and two cool ones. My eyes, my eyes! :) I prefer cozy light and have all 2700k bulbs in our home, others like 3000k or even 3500k. Some like these could look good with your clear shades. You have a really nice foundation and can go many directions with your decor - excited to see what you choose!
