We couldn't find one, but the blue in the blue zellige photo would match the blue in the cabinets - the blue in the attached photo does not. Secondly, it would be a blue and white with the same pattern (more white than blue). Hope that's clear!

This reads to me as an alcoholic beverage center. With all of the publicity as to the damaging effects of even a modest amount of alchohol, you might be working yourself into a corner that those who had smoking rooms with built-in ashtrays found themselves a few decades ago. Consider instead making this a more inclusive beverage center to feature not just glasses but tea, coffee, and hot chocolate pots, as well as cups and mugs. You might want some non-glass cabinets to deal with the necessary filters and other paraphenalia. Thhink about the need for electricity, water, and trash disposal.

Thanks Yvonne. It’s funny because I hadn’t even noticed the contents in the photo and I don’t drink 😀. The photo was attached to just show the blue cabinet color, walnut countertop, and glass uppers. It could easily be a coffee station and I picture hardly anything on that counter (trying to be minimal with decor). We plan - as you suggested - to have reeded glass uppers - so not fully transparent glass. I see this more as a buffet area when entertaining and not with all the display of alcohol you see pictured. Thanks for the input.

wondering how big the room is? Pretty dark cabinetry for a white, open kitchen.

I like the deep blue idea, but maybe white cabinetry with blue tiles to compliment the rest of the space rather than such a contrast.

I think that walnut looks beautiful with F&B Hague Blue.

(the photo below appears to be edited a bit - Hague Blue is "off" - but the walnut it beautiful and would be with the real Hague Blue color).

You could even use something else for the countertop - and use the walnut on the inside of the cabinet as was done in the photo above.

I'm not sure who designed this wallpaper used below - but it looks nice with HB glass cabinets. Again, it could be used as a back drop inside the cabinets if you decided not to use reeded glass (I assume reeded glass would conceal it too much).

I am having a floating stone vanity made for my powder room - I've thought about using Fusion quartzite (or blue fusion quartzite - depends upon slab/stone yard). HB is used on the trim:

There are many different looking slabs - but one similar to the below would be really nice as a countertop with HB - and then you could use the walnut on the inside of the cabinets - OR you could install this as your backsplash instead of tile:

In the below photo, they paired viola calacatta marble with HB - works because they are both jewel tones. Again, could use the walnut inside - or have a shelf part similar to below:

HB looks nice with Zia zellige tile in Pure White:

Below are cooler paint colors that work well with HB + a chart showing warmer paint colors. You could use this to determine a tile that would look great with HB.

The kitchen gets wonderful southern and western light and this was a compromise. Husband was soooo tired of what he considered bland white kitchens that this bev center/buffet station was the spot he wanted to be a bit more daring. @dani_08 - wimbourne white is the color chosen for all the other cabinets with a tbd soapstone countertop (stormy black, belvedere, Anastasia). I love some of these other options you provided. Swooning over that slab! My first choice was marble counter but husband preferred the wood. That floating stone vanity took my breath away! And don’t worry - I’ll post pics - but will be back before then 1,000 times with questions. I’m sure I’ll be blocked by some! Wait - no one answered - does this mean none of the tile options above makes anyone gasp with glee? 🥹

The 4” wood piece IS the backsplash. So if that is coming down, you could add tiles between the walnut and cabinets, but I kind of like it without another element. Patterned tile is a big no.

With reeded glass you won’t see the inside back wall of the cabinets, which can be another color that also works for the backsplash. (My upper run of cabinets with plain glass door inserts has ivory beadboard, which is also my backsplash.

Can you wait on this decision and see what you find after this is installed? Or just paint the back wall, use the 4” wood piece and enjoy your new beverage area.

This piece - is not yet even built - so no there’s no backsplash yet. This area is the compromise to hubs for the rest of the kitchen being white with soapstone counters. So - what he wanted with this butler pantry-ish, beverage station-ish, buffet-counter ish thing is the first thing you see when you enter the kitchen and he wanted something he would love.

He was against all white - he saw too many what he considered bland bland bland white personality-less kitchens during the home search.

The first pic above is the closest I could find - but even that’s a little too glam. The paint won’t be that glossy finish, there is no sink, the wood is too glossy, there will be reeded glass and minimal decor on the walnut surface. The only thing decided so far in color is the Hague blue cabinet and walnut countertop.

Differing opinions - 1) kitchen designer thought a beautiful talavera would work - the tbd backsplash and walnut would be the “stars”; 2) husband wanted a custom zellige pattern mostly white (to pick up the white cabinets) with a matching or complementary blue to the Hague Blue throughout. Because we can’t find a matching blue yet - I offered to do his 3) zellige with a totally different color (amber, warm yellow whatever). Although - my nixed idea is a 4) soft white marble slab with some hague bluey color. You think it’s all too much? Just stick with the same Hague blue as backsplash color? Thanks for the idea. Worth considering and make things simple.

Well, backsplashes are always last. Since it isn't built I would say to post pics back when it is done along with pics of the rest of the kitchen. Having this be a pop/different but yet balanced with the kitchen will be the tricky part and it can be done last.
