We've been doing up this flat gradually since buying last year and I'm stuck on ideas for the second bathroom (small blue square on left). Having two bathrooms was a real plus point for us when viewing. Problem is that, as they're both so narrow, I wanted more space and so when doing the bathroom, blocked off that kitchen alcove so we could later knock through. Thus, the two bathrooms will be roughly the same dimensions. Currently the bathroom is not usable as it's heavily damaged.However, after doing the right hand bathroom at Christmas, I'm having second thoughts about redoing it as a shower room. The one we've done has a bath with shower over it which is honestly fine. Having two toilets will be great as there are two adults and one child. But we never really need to shower at the same time. Theres a gym and swimming pool at the end of the street and we're often showering there anyway. My partner and child prefer baths otherwise, I'm not bothered.So it seems daft having a walk in shower we won't use much.Any better uses of the space?Factors:- I'm definitely not interested in redoing the kitchen as it's just been done- Washing machine is fine in the kitchen and there's a pulley in hall, so not a laundry area- partner's suggested a small sauna, no idea if expensive, plus again we can use the nice ones at the pool/gym- We have 3 bikes in the hall which is annoying but I can't imagine taking them through a bathroom?- could be overspill storage cupboard for moos etc, but that seems really boring- no plans to move again for years if everWhat would you do?
