I’d add some oriental rugs and the two mirror idea is a great one. Sconces in between would work too

Deep clean grout and floors, two mirrors, remove the ornate sconces, paint a warm white. Adda fab washable rug. Can we see the rest of the bathroom?

For wall color, consider two shades lighter than the current tan or make a complete change with a light blue.

Random thoughts:

- The mirror is the biggest problem, as it appears a person standing at a sink would have a view of the frame /not himself.

- I don't like duplicate sinks /mirrors, and I'm not crazy about them here, but since you're keeping the vanity /sinks, this space seems to call out for smaller, duplicate mirrors.

- Definitely lose the iron scrolls flanking the mirror.

- I would not change the vanity hardware. It fits the ornate style of the vanity, and anything else you'd add would probably just detract. On the other hand, painting the vanity could be an idea -- a cobalt blue or sage green could change the look to cottage-core, and either of those colors would pair nicely with the tan tile. I still wouldn't change the hardware.

- It's not a great vanity, as all that space only give you three scant drawers, but it looks like it was expensive and it looks to be in good condition.

- I don't see a hand towel anywhere; I'd add a little freestanding towel rack between the sinks.

- Add a long rug /runner in front of the vanity. This'd be a good place to bring in color.

Theresa‘s post reminded me about hand towels or lack of. I see the small towel bar on left for left sink but nothing on right. I personally don’t like free standing hand towel holders. Space eaters & inconvenient. After mirrors are hung I’d place a small towel hook - not ring - on same wall as mirrors for consistency on both sides & on outside edge of mirrors towards the outside edge of vanity. Remove the towe bar on the wall.

I agree they're not the best, but they're one way of fixing the problems that come with duplicate sinks, as both users can reach a centrally-placed hand towel.

Will it be easy to reach across the vanity to reach them? Perhaps I only think that because I am very short /have proportionally short arms. Regardless, I'm not loving the visual.

Theresa - my thought of hooks is bc of lack of wall space. I agree the visual is foggy & so I’d not make a decision on how to hang hand towel for each sink until I had new mirrors hung over each sink. But, I’m a symmetrical girl….. 😊

I suggest you replace the mirror with 2 small frame black oval mirrors, the faucets with brass, the hardware also in brass (if you're unable to use only knobs find the same style as you have in brass). Then a roman shade on the window and a vintage washable runner (the one shown is from Ruggable). All of this on a warm white paint on the walls. The sconces shown are wireless and battery operated if you're unable to do the wiring.

Is that a drape panel on a rod above the shower & there’s a pull to close shower curtain inside the tub shower? Kind of hard to see - will you post another pic from farther back? Or are you already standing back by where I think toilet is - around corner from vanity. At any rate, I’d paint walls first then decide about shower. Maybe get rid of white shower rod & the drape. Install a curved double shower rod & use a clear shower curtain on inside of shower to let light in - looks dark in there. Update the outside curtain to lighter colors - depending on what you decide about walls / towels / rug colors.

I like lisedv’s mirrors and sconces and shower curtain. They are traditional but not ornate. Your space could use some clean lines not more fussy elements.

Disagree. I'd rather decide now where the hand towel will go -- right now, while the remodel is still ahead of you, you have choices. Once things are installed, your space will be more and more defined.

I'm not liking the idea of hooks, and I think it's because your vanity is rather formal -- and hooks are more casual.

Oval makes sense, as it'll mirror the curves on the vanity -- but it will cut off a portion of your view; rectangle gives you a larger view /lets you see your outfit as well as your face.

Exactly what I would've suggested. With the dark, traditional vanity, I think you need a dark-colored shower curtain. I'd go with a deep-colored floral -- it needs to be great to balance the vanity. Then use the same material on the window.

Thing is, you can't go too clean /too sparse in this space. It requires a bit of fuss. Otherwise it could come off like some of my students, who occasionally come to class in a sequined evening gown + a Jansport backpack.

It's a beautiful bathroom so other than painting, mirrors and a few accessories/rug I think you can easily transform this space. Others have given nice suggestions, but here's one more for you.

It didn't look like a bathroom though. Just so beautiful! But you can change the color into a lighter shade perhaps to make it brighter? and maybe put some minimalist artworks or hanging plants

Change the wall color remove the sconces put the simpler oval mirrors above each sink and lay the hand towels on the counter folded neatly but accessible to each sink no towel bar on thta wall and not little lamp either . Maybe pretty pale green for the walls
