Interlocking Deck Tiles over Steel Bar Grating Deck?

Hello,
I have a deck with a steel bar grating floor (see pic). Since the holes are quite large, furniture will be tricky. To remedy this, I'm thinking of installing the wood or plastic interlocking deck tiles (similar to these Ikea ones). I've only seen these installed over concrete.
Can anyone confirm if these tiles can be installed over steel bar grating? Or are there any other DIY options you recommend?
