Well, I have been online farting around…..🤣 Also, I moved my garage Hostas into the porch now. They are beginning to pip and since the evenings are still (30) I want to protect them. Will get a.m. sun but p.m. shade. As the weather warms up I can more them back out, though not until past our freeze date. 👍🏽

Well I have been puttering around the garden the past week or so. We've had some great weather for a couple days and then cold rain/snow. Daffodils are in full bloom and Winter Aconite is prime.

I've uncovered all my pots that I covered with chopped leaves last fall , hope I didn't jump the gun, we will still have many nights of below freezing. Many of the hosta are showing pips, especially those in the pots that were covered. I have a lot of cleaning up to do as we've had some strong winds and sticks and branches everywhere.

Paula - Glad your windows and doors went good. In a couple weeks we are having a new roof and insulation put in. It's been a lot of work preparing for the insulation. It's an old house that we've lived in for about 50 years. Absolutely no insulation in the attics and full of stuff we've accumulated over the years. Trying to empty it all out and decide what we keep, sell, donate or just dump. So many memories up there it's hard to decide.

Yes Paula happy that the windows went well enough that you are doing more. your plants are looking so good.

I am way behind all of you. Our snow was just about gone then we got 7-8 inches on Sat. followed by freezing rain on Sunday. It was not as bad as predicted and we did not lose power yay. Tomorrow we are in for more freezing rain. They are saying it won't be as bad so it could be worse. I still have the generator ready just in case. I am so ready for spring.

Did a bit of garden clean up this week, have a lotmore to do. The weather has not been good for garden work……so much rain and wind.

Ann, I a tually took a few photos today😀. My A. Montana is misbehaving as usual and sending up pips. This plant usually ends up with frost damage.

I have a few things blooming….some dafs are starting andmy only hellebore is blooming, it is shorter than usual.

We went on a green house tour of my local favorite nursery today. It covers 18 acres including retail space. They propagate 100,000 plants (annuals, veggies, herbs) and get starts for several perenials. The biggest heated greenhouse is 3000sq feet. Every new start they receive gets treated with beneficial insects, nematodes I believe. They have trees, shrubs and roses and are always offering classes.

Wish it was warmer today…no sun and 15 mph wind. I am really looking forward to some sunny days.

My front yard gardens are dandelion infested, what a pain, need warmer weather to spray. I gave up digging those buggars, just doesnt work well.

my yard is flooded..Fire Island (bottom) and variegateds (top) will be out in temperatures in the 20's soon 🙁..

this area is the lowest and has the most water..

thank goodness the house is dry..I still like it here..

Ann, sorry to see the flooding in your paradise🙁. No flooding here yet but soooo much rain the past few weeks. You posting photos the past few weeks got me outside to snap a few today. I have about 200 different daylilies here, they all look good so far……just that one unruly hosta up so far.

Sherry thanks for your concern 🙂..the water disappears eventually but at it's worst is alarming..I took pictures when the weather was decent knowing bad weather was coming and could ruin the plants..I think I have hostas pipping everywhere but it's too wet to look..Ann

Spring came here over the past week without 2 months of early pipping.
