bonsai rock mix soil

Hello - has anyone used this type of mix before? And if so have you washed it?
I have washed with a strainer n oil less than 5 times and the water continues to run super dirty and allowed to dry over night and now all this gold particles are visible - any idea if this is healthy for the plants?
