Tricky Layout - Advice for kitchen, dining, & living room?

Hi All!

I purchased a FIXER UPPER. It needs a LOT of work, but I bought it at a great price. Here are the pictures:

Here is some more info about how the house looks now, and things that might not be able to be changed. The biggest issues are the bay window, the stairs leading to the basement, and the door leading to the sunroom (sunroom not pictured, but the door is to the left of the current kitchen).
Dining Room (Current Upper Right Area)

This space has great natural light with that bay window, but the bay window is very large and goes pretty much to the floor.

Kitchen (Current Upper Left Area)

The staircase to the basement is right next to the kitchen, and part of it has to jut out of the floor. The current breakfast nook is hiding the area of the stairs that juts out of the ground.
There’s a door to the sunroom directly beside that too.

Does anyone have any layout ideas?! I was originially thinking of blowing the wall out (the one with the piano against it), moving the kitchen to the upper right hand corner, and having to redo the electrical, plumbing, etc. as well as figure out what to do with that large bay window....... and then moving the dining room to the upper left hand corner. Thoughts? Other ideas?

Floorplan would be great as well as how much you are wanting to spend - moving a kitchen is $$$$ (we did it and it was a beast of a project) - make sure the ROI is there for you

If it were me, I would get all the flooring unified + all the walls freshly painted +updated/upgrade lighting before tackling other things (assuming roof & systems are in good shape)

We will all suggest you live there first for a bit before you make such big decisions about taking down walls.

I would not want a TV over the fireplace if there's no room to place a sofa directly facing the TV.

Perhaps the wall that backs up to the kitchen is the best wall for the TV.

You have to figure out your furnishings layouts BEFORE YOU THINK ABOUT TAKING DOWN A WALL.

I will work on making a floor plan. I don't have an official one, but I could draw out the layout. Sorry, this is all new to me. I could spend up to $100k because I got a great deal on this house, but would obviously like to stay lower than that.

WOW we need a to scale floor plan of the whole area , every window , doorway marked every measurement clearly marked . Use graph paper it makes it easier . A great deal on a house begins with the guts the electrical, the plumbing and the heating all need to be inspected and fixed if not good . The pretty stuff comes after the important stuff . I am assumng you had an inspection so what did that tell you about those basics? When you have the drawing done post it here in jpeg format in a comment .100K is a lot of mone but it can aslo go quickly so areally good plan before doing anything.
