Dark basement wall paint

I need to pick out a color for our dark basement. There is only three small windows in the two rooms. The floor will be covered with a floating floor, LVP. I brought home a sample of Edgecomb gray and Navajo white. I’m going to revisit the paint store because my daughter thinks Edgecombe Grey would be dark down there and I don’t think there’s enough contrast between the white baseboard and the Navajo white. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

How is the lighting? Here is a video of our former basement where different colors were used to define areas within a Great Room concept with off-white on other walls and ceiling. There were numerous canisters on dimmers to illuminate the space. You can observe the distinction between semi-gloss trim and various colors. A process for choosing a final color is to purchase a test size sample (around $10 each) and paint a few locations to evaluate. Good luck.

@ddinamherst - Thank you. Hopefully within the video you get some idea of the lighting within the finished space. Primarily canisters plus sconces and pendents. Dimmers are an important component.
