You can tile up to the bottom of the hood, or tile to the ceiling, but I’d stop at the hood. It’ll keep you from having to deal with the crown molding.

I'd stop at the bottom of the hood vent.

Your crown on the cabinets would interfer with tiling all the way to the ceiling.
