First I need to know size of space and why a tile base now instead of a nice easy to clean acrylic base . I do not like a ton of grout lines in a shower . What is the floor in the space outside the shower ? THis looks like a small shower and I do not like niches in showers shampoo bottles are not decor . I like simple batroom floor and shower walls in the same 12 x24 porcelain tile then that same tile only smaller if you must have a tile shower pan . That makes the space feel larger , easier to clean and a nice neutral color so you can over time change wall color , towels and accessory color .

Either option IMO is too many grout lines in a fairly modest shower stall & then adding all the busy pattern of the floor.

Have you considered using a large format slab tile for the walls instead?

Honestly, I'd stick with what you currently have rather than change to your new options.
