1960s ranch - new paint! Desperate for feedback!

Hi, all. Really need advice.

We are finally ready to paint our home and we are getting new doors. The green has to go.

We have a few options:

1.) Paint it ALL. I'm not against painting the orange brick. But I don't know where to begin. That is so intimidating!

2. Keep the orange brick and use one of the samples I've attached.

I'm not against that.. but I'm afraid I'll be disappointed with the outcome. At a glance, the exterior of the house (from the road) will look the same.

Any suggestions are welcome.

I like the muted blue palette. I might make the siding and the door the blue and the trim a lighter version of one of the light grays. The blue for your shutters, too. Or maybe a slightly lighter shade. If you want a lighter shade of the same color, you can just add white to it. Since paints are pigments added to white, is really just less of the pigment added.

No place for shutters I like this color with brick so the green for me would be the first step fpr the siding then see waht you want for trim and windows still no shutters . It is important to understand your style too. This is the green I like with brick IMO painting brick is the fastest way to devalue your home so abig no there .If a more traditional home is whatn you like you could do exactly like this pic for trim and siding and garage . Since all the windows are with grids it is an easy direection to go.

Ok, this is a big project and a big change, but you don’t have to make the decision on your own. It’ll turn out great!

I like the muted blue and the dark and dramatic color palettes. I think both can work well.

I wonder if you want to consider a third option, whitewashing the brick. I’d suggest sampling it on a small area of the brick and see what you think.

I know it just adds more to the decision making but I think it’s an important option to consider.

I don't think there is any thing scared about that orange Roman brick. I'd paint it all .

    I'd spend $$$ on a metal roof.

Use a paint formulated for brick so it doesn't end up peeling off.

I would go a cream brick and siding and garage door to unify everything and give the windows some contrast. You can see the window frames are white and not disappear.

I see you have black posts and shutters so paint the front door black...that would be stunning.

I described my ideas to AI and it came up with these homes to visualize my concept. Cream, white, and black.
