My first inclination is also blue. Will you be painting just the walls in this sitting area or your entire space including your kitchen too?

A wide variety of blues could work. You'd have to see what makes sense with what you already have in the room.

Although a bedroom example, this shows how blue walls and blue fabric can coexist, and the brown, like your leather, works great with it.
