Thank you, Debra. I noticed the Kiss of Paradise from you has already put up several bloom scapes. It can't be long, it is summer hot here and the daylilies seem to be rushing to bloom.

Lovely pics Kay. Nice to see Josephine blooming and it is one of my favoirte clematis. Mine will start blooming within the next week if not sooner.. Nice to have so many scapes coming up. Can't wait to see those special bloom pics. Nice job your son-in-law did on the raised veggie planter. And of course your pets. I am partial to Spatter because of the multicolor much like a Tortie. Almost finished with the deck and screened porch?

Thank you, Julia. There are now scapes all over the garden. The major work on the porch and the deck is done, but he is putting up lattice around the base and I am putting in new sliding glass doors as these lost their seal and cannot be cleaned since the disorder is between two of the glass side on one of the originals. I also am getting new shutters and then he is repairing a lot of damage the roofers did to the vinyl soffits and flashing.After that, some bathroom work. My daughter plans to live in the house when we are gone, so she is taking a lot of interest in it.

Lovely shades of lavender and purple. I wish here that the eighties would stay away for a while, as we haven't had much of the pleasantness of sixties and low seventies.

Thank you, Brad and Mantis. Oh Mantis, I am so tired of the heat already. WE had very little spring as we have been in the eighties and even inching close to 90. we are supposed to get a bit more seasonal by the middle of the first week in May. I would so love 60s, but it will be fall before we see them and it shaping up to be very hot but the ridge has kept us free from tornadoes for the last three weeks. I believe Fernstone's first bloom will open tomorrow but it could be Friday.

There are scapes all over the garden and I suspect the heat had something to do with that.
