Sand/grey combo help

We’re having a very hard time getting our living room colors to seem cohesive. Our couch (which we thought would be grey) is more of a sand color, while the swivel chair is true grey velvet. The walls are Horizon grey. The TV frame is white, while the light fixtures are black. We currently have a marble coffee table with silver legs. We just added the white and grey rug, in the hopes that it would tie the different shades of grey together, but it seems like we just added even more greys to the mix. We cannot change the couch, chair, or wall color. We are (very) open to changing the rug, coffee table, TV stand (not purchased yet), and accent colors (pillows, blankets, decor). We were thinking maybe black or a wood tone for the coffee table and TV stand, or perhaps a darker rug? Any tips on how to tie these colors together would be most appreciated!

if you plan to introduce more black into the space, my suggestion would be to go with a bolder rug not trying to match, but compliment, since you want to stay in the gray/sand neutrals.

I think you're being too critical of what you have. I think what you have assembled works well together. Get rid of that torchiere. The quality of light from that lamp is just not good.

The room just needs to be accessorized and finished.

I agree ^^ . I think the base of what you have is great so far. You need artwork, some colorful pillows/throws. Maybe slide the couch to the right so the chaise part is floating more and put a tall, open backed bookcase there for some dimension and storage.

Just add one or 2 things at a time, then step back and see how you feel. Sometimes a few good pieces make all the difference.

I too, really like the chair and the rug. Especially both of em together. Looks great!!
Can you just pull the rug under the sofa a wee bit?
Add some fun accents and accessories. Black is a great bridge color to bring in.
