Kind of an odd this-or-that. I do think that dryers could offer some more functionality, in particular dryers that command their price simply because they match a washer. For example, alternating direction could easily be a standard feature.

But as someone who has to shuffle ice trays, nope, I want the ice maker, too! Remove yours if you don’t want it.

My dryers have all had that (and I do use it) but I assumed she meant something that channels the air more into the boots.

I almost never use real ice. So my freezer in the fridge has no ice maker. I own boot warmers, I use those on my boots if needed. I feel dryers tend to be too hot for footwear, especially if it's wet. I do also tend to keep my boots or yard shoes waterproofed to help prevent the need for drying.

My leather footwear does not get warmed or dried- it gets stuffed with paper and allowed ot air dry to help prevent shrinking. It's been years since that's happened though. That reminds me though, I have some spring conditioning and oiling to do.

I don't want an ice maker in the fridge, because water lines are the most common place for fridges/freezers to break down, and the leaking can be a huge problem. The fridge in the house I bought a few years ago has an ice maker, and the first thing I did was turn off the water hose to the unit. I'd rather it wasn't there, but I definitely wouldn't connect one if the fridge I really wanted had one as an un-removable feature.

I don't care about putting shoes or boots in the dryer; I had one unit that came with a shelf insert, but I never used it.

Thanks, interesting to know that there are dryers that come with boot-dryers. I definitely did remove whatever part of the ice-maker was removable from my freezer, but there'd still be more real-estate if the entire thing hadn't been installed there to begin with.
